Patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease often have complex conditions with limited treatment options. Surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) and repair treatment options include replacing or repairing the valve through standard open-heart surgery or small-incision surgery for a minimally invasive approach to address a patient's unmet clinical needs. It's our driving force to help patients live longer and healthier lives.
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Specialist, Surgical Business Unit, to join our team and represent Edwards in Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. This field-based role involves visiting local accounts and collaborating with the local distributor sales team to drive our premium products.
International travelling required (50 %).

How you’ll make an impact:
- Visit and manage local accounts across Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania
- Collaborate closely with the local distributor sales team
- Organize training events for physicians, showcasing Edwards' expertise and know-how
- Utilize existing Edwards training pathways for healthcare professionals
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and trends
- Engage in marketing activities to promote our products
- Provide support during cases to ensure optimal outcomes with our premium products
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's Degree a related field AND approx. 3 years of sales / business development / clinical sales / marketing experience
- Medical device industry experience Required, cardiology preferred
- Fluent English Required
- Ability and availability to travel internationally (approx. 50 %, active driver)
- Ability to work independently
- Good knowledge of the strengths and limitations of own products and competitor products
- Knowledge of the assigned region is a plus
- Good understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology is a plus
- Great communication skills, ability to build relationships, influence
- Proactive, creative, driven candidates (with great & positive energy!) are highly welcomed
