How you will make an impact:
Product Vision
Articulating the strategic vision of the product
Developing and explicitly communicating intermediate strategic goals
Propose how the product can tactically increase its value each Sprint
Understand and shape the impact of the product on our company
Ensure the Scrum Team is prepared to discuss the most important Product Backlog items for each spring
Influence
Actively manage stakeholders, their desires, expectations, and outcomes
Create an effective communication strategy
Influence the Developers during Sprint Planning by helping them select and understand trade-offs
Work with Developers daily to clarify and renegotiate the Scope of the Sprint
Collaboration
Collaborating closely with the Developers & Stakeholders daily
Keeping close contact with Support and QA teams to monitor customer complaints
Developing and communicating budget, investments, roadmaps, vision, & strategy
Developing controls for a change, risk, quality, & incident management to enable professional Scrum
Developing and influencing commercial contracts that align with the agile values and principles
Customer Experience
Understand the desired outcomes of customers within the bounds of the business constraints
Defining our product(s) and services and how customers will interact with them
Create and own a set us user proto-personas to drive user-centric development and testing
Decision Making
Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood
Ordering Product Backlog items
Choosing what and when to release
Experimentation
Using evidence-based management techniques to optimize outcomes and value delivered
Create hypothesis and craft experiments to test that hypothesis quickly
Create and iterate on early product/feature conceptual development
Tracking product use and impact on end-users
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in in related field, 10 years years experience of hands on experience managing projects and/or programs of increasing complexity
Master's Degree or equivalent Preferred
What else we look for (Preferred):
Advanced Scrum Product Owner certifications like PST, PSPO-II or A-CSP
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Modern Requirements for ADO
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For Illinois, the base pay range for this position is $136,000 to $192,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
