We are seeking an outstanding Principal Engineer who excels at designing and developing complex mechanical assemblies and thrives in collaborative environment to brainstorm, develop, and implement practical technical solutions.
How you’ll make an impact:
Design key elements of next-generation TAVR delivery systems.
Create CAD models and drawings for components and complex mechanical assemblies
Conduct hands-on lab studies to develop the delivery system.
Create, test, and improve products through experiments and tests, analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports.
Generate prototypes, work instructions, test methods, and engineering drawings to establish product/process specifications.
Lead in the improvement, design and optimization of more complex experiments, tests, analyze results, provide complex recommendations, and develop reports, based on engineering principles that translate to innovative products
Oversee R&D support tasks; give instruction to technicians/engineers on conducting tests; train technicians/engineers and provide feedback; and coordinate technician/engineer work
Proactively identify issues, achieve resolution, and resolve problems of significant complexity on designing parts, components and subsystems
Create/update complex design control documents including requirement specs, and risk documents with robust knowledge on design control requirements
Develop project plans to assess technology and drive project results
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Scientific field with 6+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry
Master's degree in Engineering or a Scientific field with 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry
What else we look for (Preferred):
Catheter design and CAD experience (3+ years solid design experience)
Medical device industry experience.
Experience with lab/industrial equipment.
Solid understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; CAD experience preferred.
Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
Knowledge of processes and equipment used in assigned work.
Attention to detail.
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented with the ability to build stable working relationships internally.
Compliance with company rules and requirements, including pandemic protocols and Environmental Health & Safety rules.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $167,000 (highly experienced).The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
