Funding requests
Our Foundation evaluates all applications during our annual funding cycle, through which a majority of our giving is done. The funding cycle opens with a call for applications in late spring, applications are evaluated by our committees in the summer through early fall, and applicants are notified in late fall.

Every Heartbeat Matters Applications
Every Heartbeat Matters will improve the lives of 2.5 million underserved structural heart patients by the end of 2025.
Community applications
In our global communities where employees live and work, we strive to be a good neighbor by providing donations that strengthen the community and leverage employee time and talent, always focused on underrepresented people and communities.
Requirements of organisations supported by our Foundation
U.S.-based organisations must be a tax-qualified charitable organisation by demonstrating 501(c)(3) tax status by the Internal Revenue Code. Organisations based outside the U.S. must be a public charity substantially similar in governance, operation and mission to qualified U.S.-based organisations.
Additionally, all applicants must: (1) meet the donation type criteria; (2) complete the appropriate application; and (3) provide appropriate supplemental information (e.g., qualifying tax status, supporting financial statements, and program budgets).
All partners of our Every Heartbeat Matters initiative, as well as other partners conducting work with patients, are required to sign a program agreement before receiving funds. A sample template of that donation agreement is available here.
Edwards Foundation supports diversity and inclusion in our communities. As such, we require each donation recipient to certify that it does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of applicable law.
