Role Summary:

The Sr. Manager Contracts will analyze, develop RFP strategies and handle RFPs and contracts with customers and commercial partners while ensuring quality and legal compliance. The Sr. Manager Contracts will manage a team of contract professional(s) to support the business strategies.

How you will make an impact:

  • Manage and oversee the work of assigned contracts team within own function. Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.

  • Identify risk, develop and lead in the implementation of contracts strategies which may include negotiations with internal and external parties, drive improvements and increase revenue opportunities.

  • Oversee all pricing models for sales contracts, analyze market and internal sales data, provide pricing guidance as applicable to sales staff, within the guidelines of business unit pricing. Perform complex data analysis and generate reports.

  • Provide guidance to key stakeholders on RFPs and contract strategies.

  • Remains up to date with local and regional tender requirements (legal requirements within MedTech).

  • Provide guidance to sales mgrs and reps to manage effectively RFPs, lead improvement projects. Develop improved processes based on identified opportunities for innovations/optimization.

  • Review all contracts to ensure compliance with established business unit guidelines, including securing appropriate approvals.

  • Engage in Customer interactions in order to support contracts execution and strategies.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree + at least 8 years of experience in related fields.

  • Proven successful leadership skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives. French is strongly preferred.

  • Proven understanding of contract or bid managements procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines.

  • Expert knowledge of contract terms and conditions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations.

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of contract or bid management to the business.
