Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP)
Edwards Lifesciences is the global leader in replacement heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring. We develop MBA graduates into future Edwards leaders through our Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP). You’ll grow tremendously through a variety of engaging assignments that address the complex business needs and challenges you’d expect at an expanding global organization, where 15,000+ employees work together to make a difference to millions of patients worldwide.
The program
In just two years, you’ll advance your healthcare expertise while acquiring highly practical business knowledge through four, six-month rotations that will expose you to a broad range of Edwards business units.
Plus, you’ll have the chance to pursue international opportunities and gain hands-on experience across multiple functional areas, from Strategy and Healthcare Solutions to Sales Operations, Marketing and Business Development.

Starting with a robust onboarding program, your experience is further defined by executive mentorship, a leadership coach, customized training and annual rotation presentations. At the end of the program, use the global network you’ve established to explore the right opportunity for you within Edwards.
What we look for
- Must be enrolled in a full-time MBA program
- Target graduation date of spring of next year
- Target GPA of 3.5+ or equivalent
- Minimum four years of work experience (post undergrad)
- Completion of at least one internship experience, healthcare background is preferred; MDs pursuing their MBAs will be considered
- Geographic flexibility
- Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future
Summer immersion experience
The Summer Immersion Experience provides all university program participants the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally through structured workshops, mentorship, networking and just-for-fun events.
The experience is designed to set participants up for success through exposure, experience and education in tandem with the meaningful work our program participants engage in throughout their time in our programs.
