Perform routine and special calibration of all equipment/test and instruments measurement included in the calibration system to effectively meet the requirements and specifications in the General Calibration Procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and perform routine calibration of equipment and ensure all calibration documentation are entered into system and in compliance, including the review of calibration.
Determine and track Out-of-Tolerances (OOT) and Equipment Non Conformances status to closure
Register new equipment and maintain all equipment metrology (calibration) in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Coordinate with service providers and custodians for calibration activities, including getting quote, obtaining supervisor approval, initiating purchase order, and coordinating services while ensuring activities are completed.
Ensure all inducted equipment are calibrated, verify calibration report meets the quality requirements, and escalate any discrepancies.
Act as CMMS (e.g Maximo) system expert and provide training and technical expertise to all other users.
Other incidental duties (e.g Participate in 6s activities).
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree or equivalent in from a recognized Institution in Electric, Mechanical, Electronics, and/or Mechatronics, including internship.
One (1) year experience in measurement and calibration of equipment/instruments, required.
Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred.
Additional Skills:
Good communication skills.
Able to read, comprehend, write and speak English.
Basic computer skills and aptitude to learn computer systems.
Moderate knowledge of calibration of manufacturing equipment and usage of hand tools, electronic monitoring equipment, fluid and pressure monitoring equipment.
Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management system (e.g. Maximo
Knowledge of calibration regulations and standards (e.g, ISO 17025).
Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing.
Strict attention to detail.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment.
Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams.
Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner.
Accountable to adhere to applicable Edwards Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality System requirements to ensure our products and services consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all waste generated in the facility according to applicable laws within the waste management program (RCRA). Prepare regulatory and/or internal reports, complete waste determinations, sign waste manifests and coordinate proper training sessions to affected personnel.
